Seamless gutters and trim are done on-site by rolling a metal sheet through a gutter forming machine. Then the installer secures it to the side of the home in a continuous run. - Security and Strength
The more seams a gutter system has, the higher the potential is for leaks. - Cost and Durability
While the cost for seamless gutters is actually nearly identical, sectional gutters are less sturdy and not likely to last as long as seamless gutters do.
Gutters & Trim FAQs
What size gutters does my home need?
A 5-inch seamless aluminum gutter is standard. It fits gutter lengths under 40 feet with at least one downspout, where your gutters do not overflow in normal rains and no upper roofs drain into them. Oversized 6-inch gutters suit runs over 40 feet, long runs over 60 feet, upper roofs draining into lower gutters, and valleys where fast-flowing water might overflow during heavy rain.
What are seamless gutters?
Gutters made on-site and installed in one continuous run, with no seams. We roll a metal sheet through a gutter forming machine, cut it to your home's custom measurements and secure it to the side of your home. The more seams a gutter system has, the higher the potential is for leaks.
Do seamless gutters cost more than sectional gutters?
The cost for seamless gutters is actually nearly identical. Sectional gutters are less sturdy and not likely to last as long as seamless gutters do.
How many downspouts do my gutters need?
Gutter runs under 40 feet need at least one downspout. Gutters over 40 feet in length should have two downspouts.
Do you repair storm-damaged trim coil?
Yes. Many homes have aluminum coil molded around the exterior trim, and in high wind storms it can detach and fall to the ground. We service this repair on average 10 times a month, usually after major storms, and custom match the new coil to your home's existing color and style. Aluminum coil service costs on average $750 for 15 linear feet.
Should I wrap my trim in aluminum or replace it with PVC?
It depends on the wood underneath. PVC trim is the better long-term answer when your existing wood trim is rotted, soft, or already failing. Aluminum trim wrapping is the better answer when your wood trim is sound and you want a lower-cost way to end the repainting cycle. Golden Group Roofing installs both.
