Golden Group Roofing has been roofing with CertainTeed shingles since 2012, offering homeowners the choice of CertainTeed Landmark, Landmark PRO and Landmark Premium shingles.
We selected Landmark asphalt shingles for their high quality and proven durability. Their dual-layered shingles provide the extra protection needed for Massachusetts winters, they are algae and fire resistant, and they come in a wide array of colors to complement any home. CertainTeed WinterGuard Ice & Water Shield
Having fixed so many ice dams for Massachusetts homeowners, Golden Group Roofing knows how important it is to use a high quality ice and water shield. This layer protects the home against any water from rain or ice dams that may find its way under the shingles. That's why we chose CertainTeed's WinterGuard and WinterGuard HT ice and water shields. We install it on all roof eaves, rakes, valleys, transitions, chimneys, skylights, pipe boots and vents.
CertainTeed RoofRunner & DiamondDeck Synthetic Felt
After Golden Group Roofing installs the ice and water shield, we use a layer of synthetic but breathable felt as an extra protective layer. We install both the RoofRunner and the DiamondDeck felts by CertainTeed to make sure your roof is secure. RoofRunner is our better option and DiamondDeck is our best.
How a CertainTeed Roof Replacement Works
Call or book online. We visit your home to take all the measurements we need and pair them with satellite measurements, so your quote is as accurate as possible.
We order all the necessary materials for your roof and schedule service with you.
We remove the old roof to make sure the wood decking underneath is in good condition. If repairs are needed, we address them at this stage.
Installed to prevent leaks caused by wind-driven rain and ice dams.
RoofRunner or DiamondDeck covers the rest of your roof deck.
An 8-inch aluminum drip edge goes on every roof edge, plus CertainTeed SwiftStart starter strips with factory-applied adhesive to help prevent shingle blow-off.
Your chosen Landmark shingles, then a CertainTeed Shinglevent 2 12-inch filtered ridge vent to help exhaust heat and moisture from your attic.
Full site cleanup and a final walkthrough with you before you pay a dime.

Our roofs come with a 25-year workmanship warranty, and all new roofs installed by Golden Group Roofing come with a registered 50-year warranty that is non-pro-rated and, depending on the warranty level, transferable to your home's next owner. As a ShingleMaster™ PREMIER contractor, we can offer CertainTeed's SureStart™ PLUS 4-STAR and 5-STAR extended warranty coverage when we install a complete CertainTeed Integrity Roof System®. SureStart™ PLUS extends full, non-prorated coverage on materials, labor, tear-off and disposal for up to 50 years on a single-family home, depending on the level of protection you choose. The higher levels also include CertainTeed workmanship coverage: 15 years at 4-STAR and 30 years at 5-STAR, and coverage is transferable for up to 20 years. What is the difference between SureStart and SureStart PLUS?
SureStart comes with CertainTeed Landmark shingles: for the first 10 years, CertainTeed covers 100% of the cost to repair or replace defective shingles, and after that coverage prorates. SureStart PLUS is an extended warranty that can add non-prorated years and workmanship coverage, and it is available only through credentialed CertainTeed contractors installing a full matched roof system.
