The Problem:
The Golden Group roofing team was called to the clients home because there were issues with the current roofing system and the skylights that were a part of the roofing system were leaking. The client was hesitant to switch the skylight units because of fear that the interior frames would not fit properly. The client also had issues with the gutter system not supporting the water flow correctly due to lower slope of the roof line.
The Meeting:
The client met with the construction supervisor Freddy Campoverde to discuss the roof replacement of the home and the skylight units. During the meeting they discovered that the skylight units were custom sizes. In order for the skylights to be replaced correctly, a Velux Territory manager would have to be involved to assist our client. Being that Golden Group Roofing is a 3 star Velux Certified Installer, we were able to quickly assist the client with the custom skylight. While there we decided that the property was in need of a new gutter system. However, the current gutter system was not doing a good job supporting the water flow, so we recommended a 6inch gutter system to be installed. The area had a dense tree forest and gutter guards were also recommended to ensure that the gutters would not be filled with leaves during the fall months. Lastly, the client wanted his home to stand out, and with that in mind we recommended the Certainteed Belmont designer shingles that have thickness and definition in each course.
The Solution:
We were awarded the work, and we began the process by executing the contract. A contract is very important as it ensures both parties are protected. After the contract was signed with the client, we prepared all the necessary paperwork to file for the Wellesley building permit for the roof replacement. Once the permit was approved and issued by town hall, the materials were ordered and install date was scheduled. We ordered the 4 custom Velux skylight units with velux flashing kits. The color selection for the Certainteed Belmont was weatherwood. The 6 inch aluminum seamless gutter system and gutter guards were installed in the color white to compliment the home.
The Conclusion:
One happy Wellesley Roofing Client. Our roofing client received a lifetime roofing system with a Certainteed 5 star Warranty. The Certainteed 5 star warranty offers the client ac25 year of workmanship protection and 50 year of product warranty. The permit was closed with the city hall and the inspection passed. P.S. – Make sure your contractors are always closing your permits, as they can become a huge issue if left open at town hall.
